October Website Review: The Damsel in Dis Dress

The Damsel in Dis Dress is a witty upbeat blog, similar to The Pioneer Woman, about the life skills back in the days of yore. The Damsel learned the art of canning and money saving home skills from her mother and grandmother and has brought them to life on her blog New Old School with a hope to revive the lost art form.

Somehow I came across the website looking for science projects for the kids. I love the scientific and thrift savvy aspect of the fun and informative ideas such as how to revive a wilted carrot, unraveling a sweater, making yogurt and sharpening tools. The Damsel makes preserving look so simple I am compelled to pack up and move to the mountains. I enjoy  her passion for the past and look forward to her newest adventures.
